Microsoft's Windows Logo Program requires audio fidelity testing of each PC system SKU submitted for a Windows Vista Logo. These audio fidelity tests require an Audio Precision 2700 series audio analyzer operating under control of the Microsoft Device Test Manager (DTM, part of the Windows Logo Kit). Microsoft permits system vendors to import audio fidelity test logs created and "exported" by a third party as an alternative to purchasing an audio test set and running the audio fidelity tests in-house. ATECS has unique experience with the DTM and it's implementation of audio fidelity tests. We will test your PC system for compliance with Microsoft's Windows Vista audio fidelity requirements and provide the exported DTM submission test log file for each submission category requested.

Failure Analysis

In addition to the standard battery of audio fidelity tests implemented in the DTM, we offer an extensive Failure Analysis Test. This performs additional audio tests that analyze the PC output audio test signals generated by the DTM audio fidelity test suite. These additional test results pinpoint the probable causes of audio fidelity test failures.

Beyond DTM - Additional Audio Jack Tests

The DTM audio fidelity test measures performance of only the left and right front output audio jack (green) and does not test other audio output jacks or input jacks (analog or digital). ATECS will test additional audio output jacks for audio performance according to the WLP audio fidelity specifications on a per-jack basis (stereo signal pair).
